Infographic Depicting the Rise of Women in the Workforce

Posted by

I am passionate about women in the workforce, in leadership positions, and as a key factor in understanding the seismic shifts in the future of work. Because of that passion, I created this infographic with the help of research from George Washington University’s new initiative, On the Board, American Progress, and the U.S. Small Business Association among others.  These organizations have provided analysis and research on the changing nature of women at work, in higher education, and in leadership positions.

I hope you enjoy — and share it. And if you like this one, check out the one on demographic changes that are impacting the future of work, including business and education trends.

No matter the industry, that 20% ceiling seems to be holding for women. But, as the owner of a small speaker coaching business myself, I can’t find it in my heart to be upset about this. It just means that more and more women will go out on their own, and that we’ll ultimately reshape the way business is done.

I recently heard that some universities are trying to remedy this situation; however, they admit that they have a long way to go!
